Xolitos
These sweet replicas of Xolos are usually made during Day of the Dead in Mexico. They are altar totems that hold the energy of the Xoloitzcuintli - Mexican hairless dog.
Xolos, as they are nicknamed, are the animal spirit that walks you across the threshold at the time of death so a totem animal is placed on an altar to represent this essence and/ or any deceased pet canines.
These little guys are hand made by artisans from San Juan Teotihuacan valley. The are light and super cute!
