EL CAMINO is an 4 month in-depth course
Gathering for a total of 200 hours, during the months of September to December, with guided instruction by Josie.
AND a 4 month self-lead apprenticeship
January to April 2026, supported with weekly live check-ins and custom sessions as you integrate it into your life.
Expect a deep dive into anatomy, herbal formulation, hands-on preparations, kitchen cauldron magia, guided complimentary practices, seasonal rituals, and more!
WE GATHER LIVE
The teachings of this course will be offered in a hybrid container. While you can join us in the Virtual Templo from almost anywhere in the world, the South Florida community will also meet once a month in-person. ALL classes will be held live and recordings distributed at the end of the month. Why?
PRESENCE IS KEY
We learn not only with the logical brain (reading and watching videos) but with the physical presence we give each other (community) and ourselves (practice). Specially within Latine Herbalism, our ancestros learned orally and somatically through weaving, embroidery, and cooking - this is our blue print.
We will cover the material of the guidebook Latine Herbalism with weekly sessions and in-depth exploration of each chapter. Gathering to study & remember the remedios y rituales of Latine heritage amongst other folk healing modalities.

HERBAL / BOTANICAL PROPERTIES
Study over 30 herbs not in the book
Explore master plant dietas in a safe environment (non psychoactive)
Understand and bring to life formulation equations
ANATOMY
Exploration of pranayama/ breathwork to access organ energy
The use of lymphatic manipulation and Abhyanga massage for anatomical release
SACRED PREPARATIONS
Create your own herbal preparations for a home apothecary. Learn new recipes including: water based lotions, saponification (real soap!), and the art of aromatherapy oils
KITCHEN CAULDRON MAGIA
Together we will alchemize over 20 recipes in the kitchen that sustain and nourish the body
RITUALES Y RITOS
Practice in community baños, barridas, and sahumerios for energetic hygiene
Study the energetic body, how to access it, and support it’s healing
ENERGY PRACTICES
Build consistency in contemplative practice
Learn and apply energy work through the fusion of Reiki and Acupressure

This intensive course is for those who are inspired by the book, want to share their new knowledge and skills with confidence.
Open to everyone, but specially those who are looking to reconnect with the gifts of Mother Earth, nurture self healing, and step into the artes terapeuticas.

If you want to teach Latine Herbalism, the four month apprenticeship will be catered towards the goal of certification by specific standards and practices set by Josie, the author or Latine Herbalism. This includes testing and attending study halls.
