RETABLOS - TRAVELING ALTARS
One of my continuous guiding lights are Devis. The Universal feminine energy of what we call ‘virgin’ or ‘goddess’ or ‘shakti’.
The creative essence of this energy has been around me since my birth and has revealed it’s force in more than one occasion. With the 2025 trip to Mexico during the Dia de los Muertos, I felt a nudging to create a blessed container for those who want to connect to this energy. It’s taken me months to envision and create these retablo, 3D art collages that feature Virgenes in their own unique worlds.
These retablos are traveling altars. Made with items collected through my travels and with a central figure of a Virgen watercolored using Reiki attuned water.
Each retablo promotes different energy, you can choose the one that ‘speaks’ to you from the images. Their frequency will align through visual recognition.
While I choose the elements and created them in a meditative state, I did not title them. The activation is complete when you hold it in your hand, connect to it, and activate it with a name.
