INDIGO CHROMA COLLECTION

The process of Indigo is a beautiful way to connect to El Espiritu of the plant. The indigo color transforms via plant fermentation, dehydration, reawaken, nourishment and finally application. It is a dye that is truly alive!

From a wellness perspective, Indigo has been used in many cultures to ward off viruses, to protect the energy body, and to call upon on a sense of calmness.

The fabric used is Bali rayon, a fiber made specifically from the bamboo industry discards. It is soft, fluid, and silky when pressed with an iron. This fabric acts like a canvas, if you take some time to look at the blue areas you’ll see how the water moved in the patterns. These types of dark Indigo blues are made slowly, with a long rest period in between each dip in the dye. Each of these pieces was made with 6 dips, over the course of 2 days.
