Bian stone Gua Sha tool, hand crafted in China

Always oil the skin lightly so there is a gliding and not a ‘pull’. The best Gua Sha position is a 45 degree to the skin. Once you find the angle of the Gua Sha hold the skin at the starting point and glide away from that point.

For muscular tension the pressure can be strong and you can ‘work’ on the muscle as you apply pressure on the Gua Sha.

For facial rejuvenation, glide the Gua Sha in an upward direction from center outward to the hair line and ears.

If you want a guide to either lymphatic or brest massage contact us and we will be happy to email you one!

All irregularities & variations in the colors/texture are characteristic of the handmade craft, it’s part of it’s natural beauty. Please care for it by hand washing it in cool water after each use.

Bian Stone Gua Sha

Gua Sha is a Traditonal Chinese Medicine body therapy tool that stimulates blood flow by massage & pressure of the tool to the skin. This stimulates the skin, the muscles, the lymphatic system, and even the breast tissue when used correctly.

The original Gua Sha was a small tea saucer. The edge was used to scrape the skin and promote the movement of energy.

Our Gua Sha is made with a stone called Bian, from where it is mined. It is a limestone know for it's pyroelectric properties, it carries an electromagnetic charge which aids in the tone of the skin when used for facial rejuvenation. Bian Stone tools are sturdy, soft to the touch, but please handle with care. Gua Sha is approximately 3" x 4" and comes in a velvet pouch.

  • When used daily you will see improvements to the tone and elasticity of the skin.
  • When used on the body for the scraping therapy it will promote blood flow and release muscle aches.
